George, a native of San Antonio, Texas, was in
middle school when he picked up the saxophone for the first time.
During his high school years, George received numerous musical awards,
most notably the Louis Armstrong award. This was an annual award
given to the outstanding high school Jazz musician. Georges
outstanding musicianship also earned him a scholarship to attend
Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he studied
Music Performance. During this time George played with various Tejano
groups and eventually his talents landed him a spot with the well-known
group "Toat-Lee Bluz." While playing with this band George
opened for blues greats such as Albert King, Coco Taylor and Johnny
Copeland.
In 1991, George relocated to Dallas and focused
his musical talents in the Gospel arena. He has since been involved
with major Gospel ministries such as Calvary Temple, Church on the
Rock, Metro Family and most recently High Point.
In addition to his music career, George also works
full time as a computer analyst.
