It wasn’t long after Flip picked up the bass for the first time, that he made up his mind to pursue the life of a professional musician. The twist to this story is that unlike most musicians who started playing their instrument at a very young age, it wasn’t until Flip was in college obtaining his degree in business administration, that he found his real passion in life; playing the bass guitar.

Flip’s musical career took off with the inception of the popular 80’s R&B group The MacBand. Time spent with this band brought him national airplay with the groups hit single "Roses are Red" and a featured spot on a nationally run commercial for McDonald’s. From there it was an adventurous road of world tours with bands such as Atlantic Star, Yarbrough People and most recently legendary blues artist Lucky Peterson.

Flip is one of the most sought after bass players in the industry today, but it’s not just his bass skills that make him such a great musician. He is also an accomplished singer, songwriter and producer. He has a unique style about him that adds flavor and finesse to each performance. These added dimensions to his already extraordinary bass playing make Flip an extremely vital member of this musical group.

Aspiring to capture the traits of musical inspirations Babyface, Roberta Flack, and Luther Vandros, Flip is constantly striving to become the "Total Artist". Those who are most familiar with Flip and his talents would certainly say that this is one goal he has undoubtedly already achieved!
