Joslin was born in the peaceful country of Oman. He was exposed to music
from a very young and tender age of 4. He started playing by ear, emulating
his father and brother on the piano and soon began his formal lessons in
classical piano. He studied under the academic curriculum of the royal school
of music, London. Along side school, Joslin performed at many music talent
events and competitions, grabbing the first place in all the events. In
1995 he was invited to perform and demonstrate live on electronic keyboards
for Casio and YAMAHA inc. in collaboration with McDonald's.
Joslin then moved to the United States for higher education at the University
of Toledo and then to further his music education at the University of North
Texas, Denton. While there Joslin began composing and writing music, which
would later end up becoming his first album, The Lone Traveler. His first
album was released on Jan 16th 2006.
Joslin's style and compositions are
said to be an amalgam of Yanni, David Foster, and John Tesh. His favorite
artists are Michael Jackson, Sting, Phil Collins, Trans Siberian Orchestra,
Andrew L Webber and Richard Clayderman and Yanni. His favorite composer
is Mozart.
Joslin's second album, 'The Road ahead', was released on Jan
16th 2010. He has also released his first Christmas CD titled 'Emmanuel',
an album with relaxing piano solos . He works with a lot of talented
up and coming artists with whom he records, writes and performs on a regular
basis. Other than working on his hair and golden 'tan' :) , Joslin now runs
his own Recording Studio, JoslinMusic Studios and also teaches private piano
and music lessons.
